What happens to what you send us
Last updated October 20, 2026
Third Shift is a small business in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. This page covers the website at thirdshift.ca and anything you send us through it or by email. The short version: we collect what you give us so we can reply, we don’t sell it or track you, and you can have it deleted.
What we collect
- The contact form: your name, work email, company, phone number if you add one, your message, the time you sent it and the site it came from.
- Email: whatever is in a message you send to thirdshift.ca@gmail.com.
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we use it
To reply to you, book a call if you want one and, if we end up working together, to run that work. We don’t sell, rent or share it with anyone for marketing, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
Where it’s kept
Form submissions and email are stored in a Google account used only for Third Shift (Google Sheets and Gmail). Google may store that data on servers outside Canada, where it is subject to the laws of those countries. Access is limited to the people who run Third Shift.
Services this site relies on
- Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from abuse. Like any web host, it processes technical details of each visit, such as your IP address. If the contact form shows a Cloudflare bot check, Cloudflare reads signals from your browser to tell people from bots.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so your browser fetches them from Google’s servers, which see your IP address.
- Google Apps Script receives the contact form and writes it to our sheet.
How long we keep it
If an inquiry doesn’t turn into work, we delete it within two years of our last contact. If we work together, we keep records for as long as the work and Canadian tax and business record rules require.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email thirdshift.ca@gmail.com and we’ll answer within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with how we handle it, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
